Terms & Conditions for Hommeet Hosts

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies and obligations. By accessing or using the Hommeet platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

In the present Terms & Conditions, these terms are used and defined as follows:

Hosts:

Hosts are the suppliers of Hommeet offerings. Hommeet hosts are defined as such when their profile appears online on the platform and they can receive bookings via Hommeet.

Users:

Users are the customers of Hommeet , using the platform to make a reservation, a purchase, give a review or communicate with hosts.

Activity:

Activity means services that a Host provides to a User.The services must comply with local and international legal regulations.

Activity Fee:

Activity Fee means an amount due and payable by a User for the Activity.

Product:

Product means item that a Host sell to a User on top of his/her Activity.

Service:

Service means service that Hommeet provides to a Host by making the listings for Activity & Product(s) available through the Hommeet platform.

Service Fee:

Service Fee means an amount due and payable by a Host for using the Hommeet platform.

Content:

Content means text, graphics, images, music, software, audio, video, information or other materials.

To empower educators and freelancers, our platform offers comprehensive support at no cost, providing free booking, payment processing and class management system. With us, there are no listing fees or platform charges. Additionally, we don’t take any commission from direct sign-ups through our platform.
 
Furthermore, we provide earning opportunities for educators by forming classes and connecting them with our business clients and our members, including preschools and government organisations, on an hourly or project basis.

Payout 

Hommeet automatically withholds Activity Fee(s) from Host payouts after a completed booking. Payouts are released within 7 days  after  the class is delivered.

Payouts to educators are made every Tuesday.

We offer commission-free listings; however, there is a 0.9% payment gateway fee as we collect payments via Paynow through the HitPay payment gateway.

Host Responsibilities

You are responsible for (i) understanding and complying with all laws, rules and regulations that may apply to your Activity & Product(s), (ii) obtaining any required licenses, permits, or registrations prior to providing your Activity & Product(s); and (iii) ensuring that your listing and/or hosting of an Activity & Product(s) will not breach any agreement you may have with any third party.

Hosts alone are responsible for the Activity & Product(s)that they submit, list and provide. Hommeet ’s responsibilities are limited to making the listings for Activity & Product(s) available through the Hommeet platform. Hommeet does not own, sell, resell, furnish, provide, manage and/or control any such Activity & Product(s).

By offering your Activity & Product(s) as a Host to the User you earn income. You are responsible for following all applicable laws and tax requirements in your country. Hosts are advised to consult their nearest local tax offices or their tax advisors as to their specific tax consequences.

Commitment to Bookings

Hosts must honor all booked activities with minimum 3 bookings (1 booking for virtual workshop), unless there is a valid emergency or unavoidable circumstance (death, severe damage to the venue that makes it unsafe to User, natural disasters, endemic disease or illness that suddenly affects a region, serious illness of a Host). The following penalties will be applied for host cancellations with minimum 3 bookings. If there is no 3 bookings received 5 days before Activity, a Host can cancel an Activity with no penalty.

Cancellation Penalties

Because cancellations disrupt Users’ plans and impact confidence in the Hommeet community, the following penalties will be applied for host cancellations UNLESS  there is a valid emergency or unavoidable circumstance (death, severe damage to the venue that makes it unsafe to User, natural disasters, endemic disease or illness that suddenly affects a region, serious illness of a Host).

Cancellation Fee

A fee will be deducted from your first payout after a cancellation or a penalty will be issued. The amount deducted will depend on how soon before Activity you canceled it:

Less than 1 days before Activity, we’ll deduct $50 from your next payout ( unless there is a valid emergency or unavoidable circumstance)

ALL CANCELLATIONS HAVE TO NOTIFY HOMMEET.

Non Compete Based on Programme and Date

If a same or  similar program is run on the Host’s platform, then the cost of the program should be same or lower  than what is charged on Hommeet. Failure to adhere to this, would result in disqualification as a Hommeet host.

By making your Activity available for a particular date and time on the Hommeet platform, you agree that only people who book through Hommeet can attend that Activity. 

Non Solicitation

Hosts are prohibited from directly soliciting their programs to Hommeet Users unless the program is listed on the Hommeet platform. Failure to comply with this policy will result in disqualification as a Hommeet host.

Media Consent

Hommeet and partners (if any) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken in print and/or electronically for any lawful purpose., without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video.

Permission to Contact

You agree that Hommeet contacts you via email, call or messenger for the Activity related matters.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Hommeet disclaims any and all liability to Host for the supply of the Services we provide to you to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law. If we are found liable for any loss or damage to you such liability is limited to the amount of any Service fee that we may have received in respect of which a claim has arisen. We cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage or expense, including any direct or indirect loss such as loss of profits, to you howsoever arising.

We do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss or damage to goodwill, loss or damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of Hommeet site and Services we may provide to you.

Your use of the Hommeet site and Services is without any warranty or guarantee and is entirely at your own risk.

We do not accept any liability for any delays, failures, errors or omissions or loss of transmitted information, viruses or other contamination or destructive properties transmitted to you or your computer system via the Hommeet site.

INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us from and against all claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, damages and costs, including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees, arising from or relating in any way to your Content, your use of the Services and your conduct in connection with the Services or with other Users of the Services, or any violation of these Terms & Conditions, any law or the rights of any third party.

Updates to these Host Terms & Conditions

Hommeet reserves the right to update, modify or discontinue the  Host Terms & Conditions, at any time. If we modify the Host Terms & Conditions, we will give you notice and post the modifications on the Hommeet site. By continuing to access or use the Services after the modified Terms & Conditions becomes effective, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by the updated terms. If the modified Terms & Conditions are not acceptable to you, your recourse is to stop using the Services.
